On September 21, 1869, Brother Bonaventure Thelen Purchased Five Acres For $25,000 At Carondelet And Osage Street. This Location Later Became Known As South Broadway. Over 140 Years Later, St. Alexius Is Comprised Of Both Our Broadway And Jefferson Campuses. The Facility Totals 337 Inpatient Beds. Our Jefferson Campus Is From 1859 And Is The Oldest Existing Hospital West Of The Mississippi
